Our History

Hallmark Billiards was established in 1988 when Richard Kruger, the company’s owner wanted to create a business that would bring “home entertainment into the daily lifestyle of families.” Richard had always loved the game of billiards, and had a passion for the game of snooker as well. He played a game of snooker every Thursday with his best friend for over 50 years, and has kept this routine to this day. Richard wanted to share his passion for the game by offering his customers everything they would need to create an inviting, entertaining, and exciting recreational space for their homes.

Initially, Hallmark Billiards started out by selling only pool tables and accessories but as the company grew in popularity and success, Richard enhanced the company’s product line by adding new products and new manufacturers to his beautiful showroom. Within the first five years of business, Hallmark Billiards expanded and doubled in size, with product additions such as bars and barstools, games tables and chairs, air hockey, shuffleboards, foosball tables and much more.

As the business continued to grow, a new addition was added to Hallmark Billiards; Richards’s daughter Lorraine. She joined the company in 2000 and brought with her not only new ideas, but also expanded the company’s variety of product categories once again. Together the two made a great business pair, and Hallmark Billiards continues to dominate the billiard industry, acquiring the impeccable reputation of being the finest quality pool table dealer in the GTA. In recent years, Hallmark Billiards has maintained its position as a family business with Lorraine’s husband Wayne, and three daughters, Alana, Megan and Rachel, joining the Hallmark team. With the addition of Lorraine’s daughters, the company has been increasingly inundated with new, dynamic, youthful, and innovative ideas further propelling the success of Hallmark Billiards.
